About Us

The Social Service Contractors Indemnity Pool (SSCIP) was formed in 1986 for the express purpose of providing essential insurance protection to social service providers at a fair and equitable price. Today SSCIP provides property and liability protection to approximately one-third of eligible social service providers. The primary eligibility requirement for pool membership is possession of a contract with a governmental entity such as the state, county or city, or a Regional Behavioral Health Authority (RBHA) within the State of Arizona.

SSCIP provides comprehensive insurance protection, designed specifically for social service agencies, through its Administrator, Southwest Risk Services (SWRS). In addition, as part of the overall SSCIP program, claims management, training and education, and loss control and risk management services have been developed for use by social and human services organizations.
